For just the second time in program history, the Gopher softball team is playing in the Super 16 of the NCAA softball tournament.

The team's success has been wildly popular, so much so that the best-of-three series Friday-Sunday against LSU in Minneapolis is sold out.

Fortunately, unlike the Gophers' trio of games in the Minneapolis Regional of the tournament, the entire series will be televised on mainstream ESPN channels.

  • Game 1: 4 p.m. Friday on ESPN2
  • Game 2: 5 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2
  • Game 3 (if necessary): 3 p.m. Sunday on ESPN

All three games will be on the radio, too. Friday's game will be available on 96.7 FM and the weekend games are scheduled to air on 100.3 FM.

Minnesota is hosting the Super Regional series because they are the No. 7 national seed. LSU is the No. 10 national seed, having advanced to Minneapolis by way of winning the Baton Rouge Regional.

The winner of the series will advance to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
