The former first basemen will join Kirby Puckett, Tony Oliva, Harmon Killebrew and Rod Carew as the only players with statues outside the ballpark.

Kent Hrbek will be the next Twins' great to receive a bronze statue outside of Target Field. Hrbek responded to the news by saying he asked Twins' president Dave St. Peter if the statue would have him holding "a bat in one hand and a beer in the other."
