A first-inning homer marked a career milestone for Torii Hunter, who helped power the Twins to a decisive 7-0 victory over the White Sox Sunday.

The 40-year-old outfielder's 3-run shot to left field was the 350th home run of his career. And it put Minnesota up 4-0 before the White Sox even got a chance at the plate.

Kyle Gibson led the way from there, throwing 7.2 innings while striking out 7, giving up 5 hits with 0 earned runs.

Hunter finished the game 2-for-4, with 4 RBI and 1 run scored. His home run was No. 211 as a Twin, placing him fifth all time (tied with Bob Allison) in franchise history, according to a tweet from the Twins.

Joe Mauer, Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario each drove in a run.

Chicago starting pitcher Chris Sale lasted just three innings, allowing 6 earned runs.

Update: The Texas Rangers beat the Oakland Athletics 12-4 Sunday, and continue to hold a one-game lead for the second Wild Card spot.
