Iowa sports guy's funny, sarcastic apology to North Dakotans

Remember when Iowa TV sports guy Andy Fales said women from North Dakota have mustaches? Well, what Fales meant to say was people from Iowa "must dash" up to North Dakota for all of its beautiful women.

That's the tale of the tape when it comes to Fales' on-air, satirical apology after North Dakota State's football team upset his Iowa Hawkeyes, thus ruining his previous three-minute segment spent bashing North Dakota and all of its wonderful treasures.

But as mean-spirited – and kind of funny – as Fales' NDSU rip session was, his apology is even better. Instead of bashing North Dakota, he takes on the role of a sarcastic North Dakota spokesperson. Among the state's qualities he's promoting:

North Dakota is "home of the true national champion ... UND hockey," Fales jokes. "I'm kidding! I'm kidding!" NDSU and UND aren't exactly best friends, so Fales was poking the Bison on that one.

"Chris Klieman," Fales continued on about NDSU's head coach. "Guy went for two on the road. Now I know why you've got such a big empty state up there, guys. You need that much room for Chris Klieman's balls."

Fales is wearing NDSU green and yellow and it's obvious that he's still making fun of North Dakota, but it's still pretty well done. Check it out.
