Christian Ponder had another miserable performance for the Vikings Sunday, as he passed for just 63 yards in a 30-20 loss to Seattle.

As the game progressed, the Twitterverse lit up with fans demanding Ponder be benched in favor of backup Joe Webb. Some of the more stinging Tweets? Take a look:

So what's next? Over at www.gamedaygold.com, writer Scott Bertsch says it's time to play Webb, at least next Sunday against Detroit. As he puts it: "Ponder has lost his confidence and it appears, watching body language and sideline interaction the past few weeks, he is losing the team."

Christopher Gates over at the Daily Norseman says benching Ponder might just be the tip of the iceberg, contending that there's plenty wrong with the team, despite its 5-4 record. In his words: "Tim Ryan, who was doing color commentary for today's game, noted on several occasions that nobody was getting open down the field."

As for Ponder, he once again put the blame on his shoulders once again. In his postgame news conference, he said he simply has to get better.

Vikings fans, would agree.
