Is 'railgating' the new tailgating on Vikings' game day?

Mayor R.T. Rybak is experimenting with another form of tailgating before Vikings' home games called "railgating," a party along the Hiawatha light rail line between Park and 5th Avenues. The city wants to allow about two dozen food trucks and a beer stand to create a more vibrant game-day experience in anticipation of the new stadium in 2016. The city will test-run "railgating" Sept. 23.
