Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s hockey player who was paralyzed after a game on Dec. 30, is America's Choice for the 23rd annual Courage In Sports Award, according to the program's Facebook page. The winner was announced during a CBS special Sunday afternoon.

In September, Jablonski was able to stand for 22 minutes with the help of Courage Center staff.

The high school junior returned to school at Benilde-St. Margaret’s Aug. 28.

Nearly 800 people, including dozens of NHL players, helped raise $120,000 this summer at the Xcel Energy Center for those with spinal cord injuries.
