Friday and Saturday will feature four of the top teams in the country.
Publish date:

Minnehaha Academy multi-sport athlete Jalen Suggs will announce his college plans on Friday, and his highly anticipated decision will be made on ESPN2.

Suggs will make his college choice public during the second game of a basketball showcase featuring two highly rated Minnesota teams and two national high school powers.

After Suggs and Minnehaha Academy face Park Center, Suggs will go live during halftime of the second game, featuring The Patrick School (New Jersey) and Sierra Canyon (California).

According to ESPN's Paul Biancardi, Suggs is deciding between Minnesota, Gonzaga, Florida, Florida State and Iowa State, although many are of the belief that Gonzaga is a heavy favorite to land the 5-star guard.

Minnehaha Academy plays Park Center at 6 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN3, with No. 4 The Patrick School facing No. 20 Sierra Canyon at 8 p.m. on ESPN2. Both games will feature some of the top recruits in the country, including the son of LeBron James, Bronny James, on Sierra Canyon's roster.

Suggs, a 6-foot-5 combo guard, is ranked No. 6 nationally in the Class of 2020 by 247Sports. Suggs also starred as a quarterback in high school, leading Minnehaha Academy to a runner-up finish in Prep Bowl in November.

While Suggs will announce his college pick, there remains a chance that he skips college to play professionally overseas, according to 247Sports' Evan Daniels.

On Saturday, Minnehaha Academy will face Sierra Canyon at 7 p.m. on ESPN3. Park Center will also play The Patrick School in a non-televised game Saturday night.
