Jump around, Bucky: Madison best college football town
None of the 15 best towns for college football are in Minnesota, according to a USA Today reader survey. But the city at the top of the list is not far away: Madison, home to Badger football at the University of Wisconsin, Bloody-Marys-and-cheese-curds tailgating – and one of the newest, greatest traditions in college sports.
Mad town is the craziest place to be on game day, USA Today says. The newspaper's reader survey reveals the Wisconsin capital as the best town for college football.
College football blogger Adam Kramer picked Madison as one of his top 3, along with Oxford, Miss., and Columbus, Ohio. "Bloody Marys, cheese curds and a sea of red - the fine folks at the University of Wisconsin know how to fortify themselves for a long Saturday," he notes.
