Look out Vikings, Percy Harvin is off the PUP list

For Percy Harvin, it must seem like a perfect time to return to the field.

The former Vikings wideout has missed the first 10 weeks of the 2013 season, his first away from Minnesota, but is expected to get back to game action for the first time this weekend.

He took another step towards playing when he was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Monday, according to ProFootballTalk.

The Seahawks opponent this Sunday? Minnesota.

Recovering from offseason hip surgery, Harvin has repeatedly stated his intentions of coming back earlier than expected from the torn labrum that has sidelined him all of 2013.

But a setback a few weeks ago derailed Harvin's hopes of an early return, and his role has been filled by multiple backup receivers in Seattle, including former Viking Sidney Rice, who sustained a torn ACL two weeks ago and is out for the season.

Harvin will be returning to one of the best teams in the NFL so far this year, as Seattle has already racked up nine wins, losing only to Indianapolis this season.

Harvin spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Purple after being a first-round pick of Minnesota's in 2009.
