With Oklahoma City in town to face the Timberwolves, one of the NBA's greats was raving about Wolves rookie Karl-Anthony Towns.

Thunder forward Kevin Durant believes there are big things in Towns' future.

Durant, who likely is headed to the Hall of Fame himself, might know what he's talking about. As a rookie, Towns is averaging 15.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 29 minutes a game. The 20-year-old also has 17 double-doubles in 38 games played.

As a result, Towns received his second NBA Rookie of the Month award prior to the start of Tuesday night's game.

It was the type of production the Wolves were hoping for when they selected Towns with the top pick in the NBA Draft.

The Score notes that 14 top picks have already been inducted into the NBA's Hall of Fame including Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson and Hakeem Olajuwon. Others like Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James and Tim Duncan will be headed there once they are eligible.

But being the top pick hasn't always meant stardom in the league. In 2013, Cleveland selected Anthony Bennett, who hasn't lived up to the pick, neither did Kwame Brown when he was drafted first overall by Washington in 2001.

While it might be a little early to declare Towns bound for the hall, he's certainly off to a promising start.
