Kevin Durant to sign with Golden State; NBA fans explode
Kevin Durant has sent shockwaves through the NBA on Monday by revealing he will sign with the Golden State Warriors.
The Oklahoma City Thunder small forward, part of the team that was 3-1 up on the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals before losing 4-3, announced the move on The Players Tribune.
"I am ... at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth," he wrote.
"It really pains me to know that I will disappoint so many people with this choice, but I believe I am doing what I feel is the right thing at this point in my life and my playing career," he added.

ESPN reports he is expected to sign a two-year, $54.3 million contract which would include a player option after the first year.
He will become the highest paid player at the Warriors, relegating two-time MVP Stephen Curry ($12.1 million) to the fourth-highest paid behind Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Curry can become a free agent after next season.
The move will likely see the Warriors' Harrison Barnes move to the Dallas Mavericks after agreeing a four-year, $95 million, which the Warriors now probably won't match.
As you might expect, Durant's announcement sparked a LOT of reaction.
