Twins' Slowey traded to Rockies
The Twins have traded Kevin Slowey to the Colorado Rockies for a player to be named later. In five seasons with the Twins, Slowey was 39-29, with a 4.66 ERA. He went 0-8 in 2011, with a 6.67 ERA in 59 1/3 innings. He started the season in the bullpen but battled forearm issues and an abdominal strain, and finished the season in the starting rotation.
Ryan on Slowey: 'We consider him a starter'
Kevin Slowey wants to be a starter in 2012, and if he stays in Minnesota he will likely get his way. Twins general manager Terry Ryan says the team considers Slowey a starter. The righthander is arbitration eligible, meaning the Twins have until December 12 to offer him a contract or he becomes a free agent.

Former Twin Guzman expected to sign with Cleveland
Former Twin Cristian Guzman has passed his physical and is expected to sign with the Cleveland Indians this week, the Associated Press is reporting. Guzman has played for the Minnesota, Washington and Texas in his career. He sat out last season because of a shoulder injury.
