Despite some early promise, the Timberwolves couldn't walk away with the win Saturday at home against the Grizzlies. The Wolves lost 101-97 to the Grizzlies.

The Wolves came out strong Saturday against the Memphis shooting 57.9 percent in the first quarter and building an early 24-18 lead, NBA.com reports. The early momentum was shook up by a "questionable" call.

Let's just say Kevin Garnett’s second home game wasn't as thunderous as his welcome home Wednesday. KG's night ended early, when he was ejected in the the third quarter after two technical fouls. The first foul came in the second quarter when he argued with the ref. He slammed the ball down in frustration when reacting to a call in the third quarter, causing Garnett's ejection, the Star Tribune reports.

The crowd cheered in support of Garnett, according to Bleacher Report.

In the 15 minutes he did play, Garnett had six points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals.

With the setback, Minnesota was able to tie the game up though and send it into overtime, NBA.com writes.

Andrew Wiggins led the team with 25 points. Gary Neal had 16 points. Ricky Rubio and Kevin Martin and scored 13 points.

Minnesota finished the night with 24 turnovers.

Next up, the Wolves play Los Angles Clippers Monday. Blake Griffin will sit out with his injured elbow.
