The Timberwolves didn't waste a lot of time building a big lead on the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night and cruised to a 143-107 victory.

The Wolves broke all kinds of records in the game. They shot an NBA season-best 67.1 percent from the floor and set an NBA season-high and franchise record with 143 points.

Kevin Love didn't allow there to be any confusion about which team he was playing for, he had a triple-double for the Wolves scoring 22 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists. According to the Star Tribune, it was the second triple-double of Love's career.

The Lakers have been the most mentioned potential destination for Love in trade rumors revolving around the Wolves superstar.

Nikola Pekovic made his return to the Wolves lineup. He scored 26 points on 9 of 10 shooting. Kevin Martin added 17 and Gorgui Dieng scored 14 for the Wolves.

In all, seven Wolves finished the game in double figures.

Jodie Meeks led a cold Lakers squad, he finished with 19 points.

The Wolves built an early lead surging out to a 41-24 lead at the end of the first quarter. They didn't slow down any in the second quarter either as Minnesota pushed the lead to 31 at the half, 74-35.

The Wolves offense really didn't slow down in the second half either dialing up another 69 points before the final horn sounded.

The victory moves the Wolves back over .500 at 36-35. They are back in action on Sunday at Brooklyn.
