Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa topped Southwest Minnesota Christian 54-45 to win the 1A championship -- and remain perfect for the season. In Class 2A Plainview-Elgin-Millville defeated Litchfield 55-39. In the 3A championship game, DeLaSalle hit a last-second two-pointer to squeak by Minneapolis Washburn 57-56. The 4A championship was also a buzzer-beater finish -- Osseo held on to beat Lakeville North 49-47.
The 2012 State Girls' Volleyball Tournament is complete. The top-seeded Lakeville North Panthers won the Class 3A title Saturday night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul after defeating Eden Prairie Eagles with a 25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 25-18 victory. It was a rematch of last year's championship match.
