Larry Fitzgerald, after catching TD No. 100, says that retirement report is premature

Minnesota native Larry Fitzgerald spent his childhood around Vikings greats Cris Carter and Randy Moss, serving as the team's ball boy while growing up in Minneapolis.

Sunday night, Fitzgerald joined Moss and Carter by becoming the 10th player in NFL history with 100 career touchdown receptions.

Fitzgerald finished the game with 8 catches for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns. But is the end for the Cardinals superstar near?

Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Fitzgerald told people close to him this would be his last season in the NFL.

Fitzgerald addressed the report after the game, calling Rapoport's report speculative.

"I signed another year for a reason," Fitzgerald told the Arizona Republic. "I believe in what we are doing here, and [Cardinals president] Michael Bidwill is doing everything he can to put us in position to win. That is where my mindset is at. What I am doing next year is of no importance. This is the year, and I want to make sure it is a great one."
