Talk about a comeback. After bouncing back from two major knee surgeries and plenty of setbacks, champion skier Lindsey Vonn won her seventh downhill World Cup title in France on Wednesday, ABC News reports.

The Star Tribune notes that Vonn's seven downhill season titles and 18 career World Cup titles, each being awarded with a crystal globe trophy, are women's records.

“It’s incredible,” Vonn, a native of Burnsville, Minnesota, said after winning, NBC Sports reports. “After being out for two years with two major knee operations was definitely hard. To come back this year to get the downhill title again and to have an amazing season means so much to me. This is probably the most meaningful globe I’ve ever won.”

Vonn will race again Thursday in the super G where she'll win a 19th career crystal globe if she maintains her eight-point lead over Austria's Anna Fenninger, according to the United States Ski Team.
