Lindsey Vonn has tied the record for most World Cup wins after coming back from two serious knee injuries.

The St. Paul native won her 62 World Cup race Sunday, finishing the Olympia delle Tofane course in 1 minute, 39.61 seconds, Reuters reports.

She'll have the chance to break Austrian Annemarie Moser-Proell's 35-year-old record in a super-G race scheduled for Monday, Bloomberg notes. If she doesn't succeed, she will have the opportunity again next weekend in Switzerland.

Vonn was set to break the record two years ago, but she crashed at the 2013 world championships in Austria and injured her knee. She re-injured her knee in France in December 2013, which prevented her from competing in the Sochi Olympics.

In her career Vonn has won 32 downhills, 20 super-Gs, three giant slaloms, two slaloms and five combined races.
