Looks like Jay Cutler likely won't be taking his talents to South Beach (Update: yes he will)
It appears, for now, Jay Cutler is sticking with his new job in the broadcast booth and off the football field – despite reports that he and the Dolphins had mutual interest.
Whenever a starting quarterback goes down in the NFL, there are sure to be rampant rumors to follow. There was no exception this weekend after a vacancy emerged in Miami. There was a litany of names tossed around as potential suitors to fill in for injured Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill. Jay Cutler was among the best potential quick fixes.
However, it appears Cutler will not be taking his talents to South Beach, copyright: LeBron James.
Another name that has been linked to the Dolphins is that of Colin Kaepernick. He remains unsigned. Why? Some believe NFL owners have been turned off by Kaepernick's personal political views over the last year.
Matt Moore, a career backup appears to be the leader in the clubhouse to be under center for the duration of the 2017 Dolphins season. Tannehill won't see the field as he recovers from knee surgery.
UPDATE: Cutler apparently wasn't leaning toward staying retired that much after all; he has agreed to a one year deal with the Miami Dolphins.
