Kevin Love surprised everyone when he returned two weeks earlier than expected from a broken hand, and he came out on fire, scoring 22 points in the first half. Love finished with 34 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Denver left Target Center with a 101-94 win.

Minnesota led by 14 at the half, but was outscored 57-36 in the second half.

Nikola Pekovic and J.J. Barea also returned from injuries. Barea hit four three-pointers en route to a 12 point night off the bench. Pekovic started and scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
