It's been a decade since the Minnesota Lynx weren't in the WNBA playoffs, and it'll be at least one more year because they clinch a ticket to the postseason Tuesday night with a 93-85 victory over the Chicago Sky in front of a raucous crowd at Target Center.
Sylvia Fowles scored a season-high 25 points to go along with 12 rebounds, while Odyssey Sims scored 23 points with eight assists and rookie forward Napheesa Collier finished with 19 points and seven rebounds.
For Fowles, she passed Lisa Leslie for third on the WNBA's all-time rebounding list and is now just 10 shy of moving into second place. Sitting atop the career rebounding chart is Lynx great Rebekkah Brunson.
The victory is the third straight for the Lynx, who are now 16-15 and in sixth in the WNBA playoff race. They're still 2.5 games behind fifth-place Chicago, so it's looking likely, that with three games to go, Minnesota will finish sixth, seventh or eighth.
