The Lynx are one win closer to the WNBA Finals after smoking the Phoenix Mercury 113-95 in Game 1 of their best-of-five semifinal series.

The game was played at Xcel Energy Center – as will Game 2 on Friday night – because Target Center is currently occupied by Cirque du Soleil.

But the Lynx had no trouble Wednesday night, cruising to a huge halftime lead thanks to a second quarter where they more than doubled the Mercury in scoring (31-15). Maya Moore led Minnesota with 31 points and five other Lynx players finished in double figures, including 16 points and 10 rebounds from Sylvia Fowles.

Lindsey Whalen finished with 19 points and 7 assists.
