After 10 years and four WNBA championships, Cheryl Reeve has received a contract extension to remain the head coach and general manager of the Minnesota Lynx.

“We have shared an incredible decade of Lynx basketball together, both on and off the court, and I look forward to the years ahead," said Reeve, thanking owner Glen Taylor and his wife, Becky.

The Lynx issued a release calling it a multiyear extension, with the Star Tribune reporting that it's a three-year deal.

“I am thrilled that Cheryl will continue to lead our Lynx basketball operations for years to come,” Taylor said. “Cheryl’s leadership both on and off the court is unmatched and was evident by this year’s team success that featured three All-Stars, a Rookie of the Year and a player on the All-WNBA team. We look forward to the rest of the offseason as we build towards the 2020 season and a run at a fifth championship.”

Minnesota has 231 wins under Reeve, including WNBA titles in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017. The Lynx also reached the Finals in 2012 and 2016. Reeve's 40 career postseason victories is the most in WNBA history.
