The Minnesota Lynx took the first game of the Western Conference semifinals 88-84 over the San Antonio Stars.

Minnesota held off the Stars who made a late run to close the Lynx's lead.

Maya Moore led the Lynx with 26 points. She was one of four Lynx players in double figures. Seimone Augustus scored 16 points, Janel McCarville had 11 and Lindsay Whalen had a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists, including this highlight reel dime to Moore.

A big run by the Stars in the fourth quarter cut into the Lynx lead, which had grown to 15 points.

But the Lynx held on down the stretch, as Moore sank two free throws with 1.3 seconds remaining to give the Lynx a four point lead.

Kayla McBride had 20 points to lead San Antonio.

Game two is Saturday back in San Antonio.
