Lynx like their chances for WNBA title
The Minnesota Lynx are entering the playoffs as the favorite to win the WNBA championship. Good reason backs up the odds as Minnesota became just the sixth team ever to win 27-regular season games. And there are plenty of other reasons why the Lynx are favored to take home the title.
The Lynx open the playoffs with a best-of-three series against the San Antonio Silver Stars. Minnesota went 4-0 against San Antonio over the course of the season.
Also making the Lynx an imposing opponent is their scoring depth. Seimone Augustus, Lindsay Whalen, Maya Moore, and Rebekkah Brunson form the most well-balanced offensive attack in the league.
Adding more intrigue to the Lynx' story is the possibility of going from worst-to-first. The 1991 Minnesota Twins accomplished the feat, and the Lynx could too.
As for icing on the cake, the Lynx are undoubtedly the most popular team in the WNBA right now. It might have a little something to do with the other major sports team in Minneapolis losing all the time, but nonetheless the Lynx have been featured all over local radio stations.
