The Minnesota Lynx lost to the LA Sparks 81-71 in the second of their three-game playoff series Sunday afternoon, and are facing a must-win situation in game 3 at Target Center on Tuesday.

Maya Moore led the Lynx with 27 points, while Candace Parker scored 25 for the Sparks in the Western Conference semifinals, the Associated Press reports.

The Sparks opened up a big lead in the second quarter, going on a 12-0 run to go up by as many as 22 points. They were up 53-35 at halftime.

The Lynx opened the second half with a 15-2 streak of their own to pull within five points at 55-50. They got to within four points early in the fourth quarter but couldn't get any closer, according to the Associated Press.

It was the first playoff victory for the Sparks since 2013, and forces the decisive game 3 of the series Tuesday in Minnesota.

The Lynx have won 17 of 19 playoff games at Target Center, the AP notes.
