The Minnesota Lynx picked up a season-opening victory on Sunday afternoon as rookie Crystal Dangerfield helped lead a second-half rally to defeat the Connecticut Sun by a score of 74-65.
After a sloppy first half from the Lynx, the Sun built a 37-28 lead at halftime, but that's where Dangerfield would help lead a massive fourth-quarter rally.
The Lynx second-round pick scored all 10 of her points in the second half and provided a spark off the bench and helped Minnesota outscore the Sun 27-12 in the fourth quarter.
With Dangerfield leading the way, Napheesa Collier also scored all nine of her points in the second half. Sylvia Fowles dominated down low, scoring 17 points and pulling down 18 rebounds to help lead the Lynx to their first win of the year.
The Lynx will continue their schedule at IMG Academy in Orlando as they'll face the Seattle Storm at 9 p.m. on Tuesday night.
