Lindsay Whalen is in for a treat.

The Minnesota Lynx announced today that all 2017 home playoff games will be played at Williams Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota. That's where Whalen starred for the Gophers, taking them all the way to the Final Four in 2004.

With Target Center undergoing renovations, the Lynx have played all of their home games this season at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. But the Minnesota Wild's preseason conflicts with the WNBA postseason schedule, so the Lynx will move to Williams Arena to accommodate the Wild.

“As a former Golden Gopher, I am excited to once again play at my alma mater,” Whalen said in a statement. “I have a lot of fond memories and just being over there is going to be cool. It’s such a great campus. I love the U of M, so I’m looking forward to it. We have the best fans and we’re all looking forward to seeing them over at the U.”

The Lynx are a lock to make the playoffs. At 17-2, they're off to the best start in team history and are three games better than any other team in the league.

The top two teams in the WNBA receive a bye into the semifinals, so it's a good bet that Minnesota will be one of them.
