Lynx quiet the Storm to lock up top spot in the West
The Minnesota Lynx will head into the WNBA playoffs with the best record in the Western Conference.
The Lynx held off the Seattle Storm 73-67 Tuesday night to lock up the No. 1 seed in the West.
Minnesota stretched its lead out in the second quarter, by outscoring the Storm 23-14 during the period.
Things completely changed for Minnesota by the end of the night, as Seattle stormed its way back into the game by outscoring Minnesota 21-16 in the fourth quarter.
The Lynx also went cold, as they finished shooting just 43 percent.
Maya Moore led the way for the Lynx, finishing with 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting. She also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out five assists.
Ana Cruz chipped in 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting to go with eight assists, and even though she struggled inside, Sylvia Fowles finished with 13 points for the Lynx.
