Whalen leads Lynx over Silver Stars, 87-72
The Minnesota Lynx rolled past the San Antonio Silver Stars, 87-72 Tuesday night at Target Center.
Minnesota trailed by one at the half before outscoring the Stars, 52-36 in the second half.
Lindsey Whalen was at her best, leading the way with 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Maya Moore continued her torrid start to the season with 19 points and nine rebounds.
Minnesota's strong offensive effort included 18 points from Seimone Augustus and 16 points from Monica Wright.
As a team, the Lynx dominated on the glass, out-rebounding San Antonio 40-29, but the biggest difference was at the free throw line. The Lynx were 25-26 at the charity stripe while the Stars were 11-14.
