The WNBA postponed all games on Wednesday night as teams including the Minnesota Lynx were set to strike in protest of the shooting of Jacob Blake.

The Lynx were one of many teams who declined to play on Wednesday night to protest social injustice from the shooting of Blake which happened in Kenosha, Wisc. on Sunday.

As part of the protest, all teams that were slated to play stood on mid-court with T-shirts spelling out Blake's name to show solidarity.

The WNBA's decision to postpone games came in the wake of the Milwaukee Bucks' decision to not play against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday afternoon. Word of the decision spread quickly as the NBA decided to postpone all games scheduled for Wednesday night.

The decision also sent shockwaves across all sports as the Seattle Mariners opted to not play their game against the San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers opted to postpone their game as part of the protest.
