The Minnesota Gopher women's hockey team streak continues. The Gophers blew out rival North Dakota 6-1 on Saturday at Ridder Arena.

The Star Tribune reports that Gopher freshman Megan Wolfe scored the first two goals of her collegiate career to spark a four-goal second period. The run put the game out of reach for North Dakota.

"We had a really good team win here tonight against a very good opponent in North Dakota," said Gopher head coach Brad Frost.

Hannah Brandt led the Gophers she had three points, two assists and a goal, while Rachel Bona and Sara Davis each had two assists.

Kelly Terry put Minnesota early up as she scored the game's first goal. The Gophers held a 1-0 lead after the first period, before the second period onslaught allowed them to pull away.

Amanda Leville made 34 saves in net for Minnesota in the victory.
