The Minnesota Timberwolves earned a rare victory on Sunday night as Malik Beasley and Anthony Edwards each scored 23 points in a 109-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Timberwolves' night was fueled early by the No. 1 overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft as Edwards attacked the rim and looked aggressive in his second career start.
While Edwards showed some of his top-shelf ability, Beasley contributed as well, helping the Wolves stay in the game down 61-55 at the half.
In the second half, Edwards continued to show his skill set to help will the Wolves to their fifth win of the year.
While Edwards and Beasley had a tremendous night, D'Angelo Russell chipped in with 19 points and five assists as the Wolves were winners for the third time in their past 15 games.
The Timberwolves (5-14) look to continue their good fortunes on Monday night when they travel to Cleveland for a rematch with the Cavaliers.
