If Stefon Diggs went from being a fifth-round draft pick to a superstar in the NFL, there's no reason his brother, Mar'Sean Diggs can't do the same as an undrafted free agent.
The younger Diggs signed with the Vikings over the weekend after going undrafted out of Alabama-Birmingham.
"Words can’t explain my excitement. I love you," Stefon Diggs tweeted in response to his brother's news. "It’s Gods plan, let’s stay on his path. I’m here behind you pushing you every step of the way."
Mar'Sean played safety in college and finished his 2018 season at UAB with 60 tackles, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. Here's how he measured at UAB's pro day in March, via AL.com.
- Height: 6’1.4”
- Weight: 199
- 40-yard dash: 4.80
- Bench press: 9
- Vertical jump: 28”
- Broad jump: 9’0”
There's a third Diggs to pay attention as well. Trevon Diggs earned a starting cornerback job at the University of Alabama as a junior in 2018 before a foot injury ended his season. He was a consensus four-star recruiting coming out of high school and might be a name to watch out for in next year's NFL Draft.
The Diggs' weren't the only brothers to reunite with the Vikings over the weekend. So did the Odenigbos, with defensive lineman Ifeadi Odenigbo being joined on the squad by his younger brother, Tito Odenigo, who signed as an undrafted free agent.
