Joe Mauer hit a clutch double in the fifth inning that scored two runs as the Twins defeated the White Sox 4-3 Saturday afternoon at Target Field, reports.

Right-hander Kevin Correia pitched six innings, giving up two runs (one unearned) on five hits. He also walked two as his record improved to 4-8, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The Twins used four relievers after Correia left, including closer Glen Perkins. He pitched a one-run ninth inning and picked up his 19th save of the year, bouncing back after blowing the save on Friday night.

The Twins were trailing 2-1 in the fifth when Mauer, playing as designated hitter, drove a long ball to left field that bounced off the wall and brought in two runs. Mauer was brought home on the next pitch when Kendrys Morales hit a single up the middle and broke an 0-for-21 hitless streak, according to

White Sox starter Andre Rienzo (4-5) lost his fifth straight start.

The Twins have won the first three of the four-game series against Chicago, and they hope to complete the sweep Sunday afternoon. It would be their first four-game sweep since June 2011, when they swept the Royals at Kansas City.

Right-hander Phil Hughes (7-3) will start for the Twins; he'll face John Danks (6-5) for the White Sox.
