Maya Moore wins 3rd straight All-Star Game MVP award

Moore scored 18 points to go along with eight rebounds and six assists.

When the lights get bright, Maya Moore usually winds up stealing the show – and Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game at Target Center in Minneapolis was no different. 

Moore won her third straight All-Star Game MVP award with 18 points, eight rebounds and and six assists to help lead Team Parker to a 119-112 win over Team Delle Donne. 

Teams were named after captains Candace Parker and Elena Delle Donne, who picked teams after the All-Stars were announced. 

Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson had four points and five rebounds for Team Parker, while fellow Lynx stars, Seimone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles, played for Team Delle Donne. Augustus finished with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and Fowles scored two points and grabbed six rebounds. 

Moore joins Lisa Leslie as the only players in league history to win three All-Star Game MVPs and passed Tamika Catchings as the all-time leading scorer in All-Star history. 

The official attendance for the first WNBA All-Star Game at Target Center was 15,922.
