Former Cretin-Derham Hall high school standout and Minnesota Mr. Football winner (2007) Michael Floyd is now a member of the New England Patriots. This just days after he was released by the Arizona Cardinals after being arrested and charged with a DUI.

"We're aware of the situation that came up earlier in the week. We'll let that legal situation play itself out. We'll see how it goes," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Thursday, according to ESPN. "It's a player we haven't had before. We look forward to working with him."

Belichick didn't say if Floyd will play Sunday when the Patriots and Broncos meet up in Denver. Floyd will make the trip to Denver, though.

ESPN says Floyd faces possible discipline from the NFL but it's unlikely to happen this season.
