Mike Modano will be enshrined Oct. 15
Former Minnesota North Star Mike Modano will officially be inducted to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame on Oct. 15 at a ceremony in Dallas.
Modano is the highest-scoring U.S.-born player in NHL history. He was elected to the Hall of Fame last month -- his first year of eligibility.
Modano spent 20 of his 21 seasons with the Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars franchise before announcing his retirement Sept. 23, 2011.
However, last month, Modano said he hasn't completely ruled out making a return to the NHL for one more year.
