Mike 'Wobby' Wobschall no longer working for the Minnesota Vikings

It's not clear when Wobschall's last day with the Vikings was.

Mike Wobschall is no longer employed by the Minnesota Vikings, the team confirmed in a statement to Bring Me The News on Tuesday.

"Mike Wobschall is no longer an employee of the Minnesota Vikings. We wish him the best in his future endeavors," said Vikings Vice President of Communications Jeff Anderson in a statement to Bring Me The News.

Wobschall served as the team's senior manager of content for the Vikings Entertainment Network. A reason for his departure was not disclosed.

"We will review our options on filling the role moving forward," said Anderson.

A weekly feature on Vikings.com called "Monday Morning Mailbag" was typically in the hands of Wobschall, although Monday's mailbag was hosted by team reporter Eric Smith.

In addition to working for the Vikings, Wobschall has spent the better part of the last decade appearing regularly as a guest of Paul Allen's on KFAN-FM 100.3.

The radio partnership between the Vikings and KFAN also saw Wobschall co-hosting a weekly program with Mark Rosen, titled "Skol Stories," and solo hosting a weekly show called "Vikings Final Preparation."

The latter of the shows airs Friday's at 6:30 p.m. on KFAN and was hosted by the Vikings' Chris Corso, not Wobschall, last Friday, Nov. 1.

There are however two recent segments from "Skol Stories" dated Nov. 2 and Nov. 4, respectively, that are hosted by Wobschall and available on KFAN.com. It's unclear if those are the dates the show was recorded or if they were recorded previously and published to the website those days.

On Vikings.com, the most recent episode of "Skol Stories" including Wobschall is from the week leading up to Minnesota's win over Detroit on Oct. 20.

A spokesperson from KFAN declined to provide a statement when asked about Wobschall's role with the station going forward.
