Minneapolis' Rashad Vaughn denies NBA Draft report

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports is one of the best NBA reporters on the planet, but he apparently misfired Friday when he reported that University of Nevada Las Vegas shooting guard Rashad Vaughn plans to enter the 2015 NBA Draft.

Vaughn, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Minneapolis, who starred at Robbinsdale Cooper through his junior year (he played his senior year at a prep school in Nevada), said the report is "false information" and he hasn't decided if he'll enter the draft.

Wojnarowski says Vaughn has a chance to elevate himself into the first round of the draft, but most experts currently see him as a second-round pick. Draft Express ranks Vaughn 56th on its list of top prospects; it has him going 48th overall in its latest mock draft.

CBS Sports ranks him the ninth-best shooting guard in the country.

Vaughn was averaging nearly 18 points per game as a true freshman at UNLV before torn meniscus in his knee cut his season short.

Vaughn was a five-star recruit out of high school and one of three Minnesotans named a 2014 McDonald's All-American. Apple Valley's Tyus Jones (Duke) and DeLaSalle's Reid Travis (Stanford) were the others.
