Minnesota athletes shocked by Kobe Bryant's death

Multiple outlets have confirmed that Bryant died in a helicopter crash.

Kobe Bryant was among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in Los Angeles County, California, on Sunday, according to TMZ. 

The report has been confirmed by multiple national outlets, including ESPN and the Los Angeles Times. Circumstances of the crash have not yet been reported. 

The L.A. Times reports that the crash happened around 12 p.m. Central Time in the hills near Calabasas, which is west of Los Angeles. Conditions were foggy at the time of the crash. 

From past Minnesota stars like Kevin Garnett, Adrian Peterson, Chad Greenway and Dave Winfield, to current players, including Karl-Anthony Towns, Byron Buxton and Kyle Rudolph, the reaction from the Minnesota sporting world is a feeling of shock.
