Minnesota State-Mankato stays hot with win over Michigan Tech

The WCHA race remains congested as Minnesota State defeated Michigan Tech, 4-2 Friday night.

The Mavericks dominated defensively, allowing just 20 shots on goal. They didn't allow more than seven shots on goal in any of the three periods.

Minnesota State has won five of its last six games. With 27 points, they trail Minnesota and North Dakota by three points for second place in the conference, and St. Cloud State by 4 points for the overall lead.
