A minor league team is rolling out a Big Sexy Sandwich for Colon's debut

The Minnesota State Fair should add this ASAP.

Bartolo Colon is set to make his first start for the Rochester Red Wings – the Twins' Triple-A affiliate on Thursday. Obviously when a player as charismatic as Colon comes to town, you roll out all the stops.

Check out this insane sandwich the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in Pennsylvania plan to sell for Big Sexy's minor league debut on the road for the Red Wings.

Pork, Bacon, Salami with cheddar cheese, cabbage and a tomato on steak roll? Sounds like something that should be at the Minnesota State Fair – so it's a shame only Pennsylvanians will get to sample this sammie.

Colon signed a minor-league deal with the Twins on July 7. He could join the big leagues by next Tuesday, July 18 as there's a vacancy in the rotation and the team has yet to announce who will start that game. Oh, and Minnesota hosts the New York Yankees – one of Colon's former teams.

The 44-year-old hurler was cut by the Atlanta Braves last month after struggling to an ERA north of eight. But he was an All-Star a year ago and was a very effective pitcher from 2012-16.
