Monday morning quarterback: AP rules, but is it Ponder time?

There's no sugar-coating it. The Metrodome crowd jeered every time Donovan McNabb threw a bad pass in Sunday's 34-10 win over Arizona. Is McNabb off the hook? Or is it still Ponder time?

After clobbering Arizona 34-10 Sunday, the Vikings are now 1-4, and have avoided tying a franchise-worst 0-5 start. That's the good news.

The bad news? Vikings fans were booing every time Donovan McNabb threw a bad pass. While McNabb says the jeers didn't bother him, some are wondering if his time as starting quarterback is running out.

For starters, the Star-Tribunes' Chip Scoggins says there's no way McNabb should be off the hook.

But Coach Leslie Frazier won't give up just yet, saying he's counting on McNabb to lead the team to victory in Chicago next Sunday. But as the Rochester Post-Bulletin's Guy Limbeck writes, the embattled QB appears to be on a very short leash with Vikings fans. In fact, he says it might be more like a choker.

Aside from McNabb's troubles, you had to love the way Adrian Peterson dominated in the first quarter, with three rushing touchdowns. As the Daily Norseman put it, one TD was pure Peterson-on-Peterson violence.

In Arizona, they're not taking the loss well. Like the Vikes, the Cards are 1-4. Unlike the Vikes, the Cards are getting worse week-to-week. As Arizona Republic columnist Paola Boivin puts it, "Cardinals fans, your team is a mess."

Up next: Minnesota at Chicago, Sunday night.

What's your take? Were you booing McNabb yesterday? Should he start Sunday? Or should we just wait and see?
