Moore awards for Maya: Lynx star named player of the week again

Stop us if you've heard this one before – oh wait you probably have.

Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Week once again. It's already the third time this season Moore has won the award.

More impressively for Moore it is the 17th time she's won it in her six-year career.

Moore led all WNBA players in scoring (28.3 ppg) for the week, she was also eighth among West players in rebounding (6.3 rpg) and tied for eighth in assists (3.3 apg).

She scored 33 points and grabbed six boards as Minnesota opened the week with an 87-82 victory over Chicago. She followed that up by scoring a WNBA season-high 40 points and grabbing eight rebounds in Minnesota's 93-89 road loss to Connecticut.

For the season, the 2014 MVP is the WNBA's fourth-leading scorer averaging 20.0 points per game.
