Mount Union scored 35 points in the second half to beat St. Thomas 49-35 in the Stagg Bowl Friday night, to claim another NCAA Division III National Championship.

Logan Nemeth ran for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while the Raiders put up 330 yards on the ground in the victory.

Quarterback Taurice Scott provided the balance as well. He threw for 201 yards and three more scores.

The Tommies took the early lead, getting up 14-0 early in the second quarter after Jordan Roberts crashed across the goal line on a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Roberts finished with 135 yards and two touchdowns.

One of the game's craziest plays occurred in the third quarter when Tommies quarterback John Gould recovered a teammates fumble and took it to the house.

But in the end it wasn't enough for the Tommies. They finish the season at 14-1.
