The Timberwolves won their second game in as many nights and third in a row as they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 110-91 on Wednesday night in Milwaukee. It was Minnesota's second-to-last preseason game, before the season opens next week.

Shabazz Muhammad had a big game to lead the Wolves, finishing with 19 points. Muhammad also grabbed five boards and dealt three assists in the victory.

Nikola Pekovic had a double-double as well. He had 15 points and 13 boards. Chase Budinger added 15. It was a good night for Budinger, whom the Wolves have reportedly been shopping.

Gorgui Dieng had 14, Robbie Hummel added 11. Ricky Rubio also chipped in 10 points and six assists.

Jabari Parker, who earlier in the day was named the best rookie by NBA general managers, led Milwaukee in the loss with 18 points and nine rebounds. Andrew Wiggins, who was picked second in the draft, did not play for the second straight night for Minnesota.

Another area of improvement for Minnesota was the defense.

The Wolves pressured the Bucks with 14 steals, while holding Milwaukee to 40 percent shooting and just 7 of 28 from behind the arc.

Minnesota closes the pre-season Friday in Chicago. They open the regular season next Wednesday night at Memphis.
