NBC White Sox account tries to trash-talk the Twins, doesn't end well

Yeah...the Twins are a long way ahead of the White Sox.

A five-game winning streak for the Chicago White Sox led to some cockiness aimed at the Twins on Friday.

The NBC Sports Twitter account for Chicago's second most famous team celebrated the Sox leapfrogging the Indians into second place in the AL Central by warning "You next" to the first-placed Twins.

Now firstly, the White Sox went on to lose their winning streak on Saturday – to the Indians – making the momentary arrogance all the more hilarious.

And secondly, the White Sox were still more than 10 games behind the flying Twins even before Saturday's result.

With the Twins beating Tampa Bay 6-2 on Saturday to bring their record to 39-18, Minnesota is now 10.5 games ahead of Cleveland and 11.5 ahead of the Sox.

It's not like the Sox were picking a fight with just a divisional leader either; the Twins have the best record in the entire MLB.

It's like going into the playground and trying to punch the biggest bully in the yard, only the bully is Thanos.

Anyway, there were plenty of Twins fans who had fun at NBC White Sox's expense.
