North Dakota's huge third period knocks Gophers out of WCHA Final Five

North Dakota trailed the Gophers 3-1 after two periods before storming back with five goals in the third en route to a 6-3 semifinal win over the Gophers in the WCHA Final Five. Kyle Rau, Jake Hansen and Zach Budish scored for Minnesota. UND will play Denver in the Final Five championship game Saturday night.

North Dakota is moving on to the WCHA Final Five semifinals after beating St. Cloud State, 4-1 Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. Warroad native Brock Nelson scored the game-winning goal. UND will meet Minnesota Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
